S.C.U.M. Manifesto (Melanie Chin)

This text was chosen because it is a timely issue.   Solanas teaches women to be opinionated and to speak their mind against men controlling how women lived and still live.  Women dealt with issues such as, domestic abuse, rape, reproduction rights, child custody and divorce.  At the time when this was written, Radical Feminists (Second Wave) were  loud, visible and were not in favor of males.   Solanas made it known, that feminism and lesbianism are two different subjects.

It also resonated with me because she forecasts that automation will take over for modes of production and will leave women without money.  Currently, automation is rapidly changing on how business elite tycoons make profit and making people unemployed.  Hence, men make the decisions on making and saving money.
