Hey everyone! I just posted the article (in our dropbox folder) I would like you all to read for next week, “Cultural Particularism as a Bar to Women’s Rights: Reflections on the Middle Eastern Experience,” b y Ann Elizabeth Mayer. The article can be found on pages 21-32. 

This article addresses the universalist  vs. cultural relativist approach debate around international human rights.

Although this article discusses women’s rights, I would also like for you all to think how this applies to international LGBTQ human rights as well.
